We will discuss your ideal birth.
We will work on a Birth Plan. I ask women and their partners to prepare a birth (plan) preference sheet. This is something written by you, detailing all of your birth preferences in an ideal situation. Then together we can work on a concise sheet that you can share with you care providers. This is a nice way to envision your birth, clarify your wishes and desires for labor and birth, present your feelings on medical choices and put conscious positive energy towards your birth experience.
We will discuss the possibilities of medical intervention and procedures, and your thoughts and feelings about them.
We will discuss comfort measures, different positions and techniques for labor and birth, as well as non-physical techniques, such as meditation, music, etc.
We can also talk about how you would like to create the best environment for your little one to enter the world, and how to create the best environment to make you feel comfortable and safe postpartum.
I am available for phone consultations, and ask that you check in with me after your prenatal visits with your care provider.
