Birth Philosophy
I believe that women have the instinctual ability and innate wisdom to give birth. I believe that birth is an awesome spiritual time, which can and should be used to discover inner strength, the Grace of G-d and the beauty of creation.
It is my goal that through education, self-discovery, empowerment and preparation all women will be able to reclaim the birth experience as their own. Engaging peacefulness, inner power, spirituality, and trust in the process women can enhance the birth experience for themselves, there partners and of course their babies.
I value the ability of women to encapsulate the birth experience as natural and sacred, but as a doula, I recognize the need for medical intervention when medically necessary or when chosen by a woman. My main goal in supporting women through birth and in training other to do so is that women have a good birth memory.
